Review - Uni-Ball Vision Needle Fine Point Pen

I received a pack of Uni-Ball Vision Needle fine point pens in my amazon order.  I have always LOVED needle point roller ball pens, and these do not disappoint!  Pilot and Uni-Ball have always been the go to brands for needle point pens.  The only thing I wish is that these were ultra fine because they seem kind of thick for needle point pens.  There are 8 pens in this set and I'm pretty sure the colors are Black, 2 different Blues, Purple, Red, Green, Orange and a Pink/Magenta.  I absolutely love the way these feel while writing and would not hesitate to order more when they are gone. They do not bleed through the paper and I believe that they are also waterproof and fade-proof.

Review - Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pen

So I received these Paper Mate Flair felt tip pens with my Amazon order, and while I really REALLY like them I just wish they were fine tip but I ordered medium tip ones.  That aside these are super awesome pens and I cant believe how many colors they come in.  I bought a pack of 12 pens in 12 different colors and they are so much better than I expected!  The pictures showed the colors, especially the yellow and light green as being SUPER light, but they are not!  They are dark enough that you can easily read anything that is written, even in the light green and yellow!  I recommend these for anyone who enjoys medium size felt tip tens.  And they don't bleed through paper easily!!!

Review - Amazon.com Order Part 2

So today is 2/17/14 and I thought I should update you on my Amazon.com order so far.  I still have only received one delivery so far from Amazon and it only included the Paper Mate Liquid Flair Pens that I ordered.  I have so many things coming and I'm really hoping stuff starts getting here soon.  Everything now says it has shipped except for one shipment that includes - Mr. Sketch, my 2 art sets, Paper Mate Flair Ultra Fine Point Pens, and Pilot Precise V5 stick rolling ball pens.  These say that they are supposed to be delivered by next Monday the 24th but haven't even shipped yet, so I hope they ship sometime soon!  I actually can not believe how long it is taking everything to get to me.  These shipping times are making me think twice about ordering through Amazon ever again.  I will update you when I receive my next order or when the status of my final package changes from preparing for shipment to shipped, whichever comes first.

Review - Amazon.com Order

Okay, so I figured that I could write a review of my current Amazon.com orders.  I have not received any yet but i can tell you about my order up to this point.  I am also going to review all the products in my order once I receive them.

Let me tell you about my first order.  I am a pen FREAK!!!  I don't ever get to buy nice pens during the rest of the year so since we have some extra money from taxes I decided to place a pen order.  My first order was placed on February 11th 2014 and I ordered the following - Paper Mate Flair Point - Guard Porous Point Pens - 12 colored pens, Sharpie Pen Fine Point Pen - 6 colored pens, Uni-ball Vision, Stick Needle, Fine Point Roller ball Pens - 8 Colored Ink Pens, 8 packs of Paper Mate InkJoy 100 Stick Medium Point Advanced Ink Pens - 8 Colored Ink Pens, 3 packs of BIC Round Stic Grip Ball Point Pen - Purple Ink, Medium, Dozen Pack Pens, Paper Mate Liquid Flair Medium Tip Felt Porous Pens - 8 Colored Pens, Sharpie Fine Point Pen - Assorted Colors 12 Pack, Sharpie Permanent Markers, Assorted Ink, Fine Point 8 Pack + Free 8 Pack.  The reason I bought 8 packs of the Paper Mate InkJoy was because they were under $2 a pack and you just couldn't beat that!  Now after the fact I've done some reading up on them and I'm worried that I might have bought a bunch of crap pens.  Most of the reviews are not too good.

Now, after I placed my order it got separated into 3 separate orders / shipments, I imagine because they must be coming from different places.  Anyways the first order was marked as shipped the night of the 11th, the second part was marked as preparing to ship that same night but didn't actually ship until yesterday the 13th, and the third part of my order from the 11th still has not shipped but last night it did get changed from "not yet shipped" to "preparing for shipment."  Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the second part of the order that just shipped yesterday is supposed to be delivered today already!  It was shipped from right here in New York so it only needed a day I guess.

Now on to my second order that I placed yesterday the 13th.  The order includes - Mr. Sketch Scented Water Color Markers - 18 Color Set, 2 sets of Darice 68-Piece Art Set, Paper Mate Flair Porous Point Pens, Ultra Fine Point - Assorted Ink 8 Pack, Pilot Precise V5 Stick Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point - 7 Pack Pouch Assorted Color Ink, and 2 packs of Paper Mate InkJoy 300 RT Retractable Medium Point Ball Point Pens - Assorted Color 8 Pack.  I purchased the Mr. Sketch and art kits for my kids because they LOVE to color and draw.  My son had one of there sets last year that he got for Christmas and he absolutely loved it and thought it was the coolest thing ever to have everything in its own case.  This shipment has been broken into two orders / deliveries, one is marked as "not yet shipped" and the other is marked as "preparing for shipment."  Every single part of both orders say that they will be delivered by Monday February 24th, that's like a week and a half away so I would hope they would be delivered by then!

So I should let you know that Amazon uses numerous shipping methods.  My first shipment that was marked shipped on the 11th was sent FedEx smartpost and says that my scheduled delivery day is the 19th even though its in PA right now and should only take a day to get here.  The second shipment that was shipped yesterday and is already supposed to be delivered today was sent UPS and for some reason was sent UPS 2nd Day Air even though it came from right here in New York.  So I'm really interested to see how the other shipments are sent.

I guess that's it for now, now to just wait for more to ship and for them to start showing up!

Review - Roku 3

Okay, so probably about a year ago I received a Roku 3 to product test and then do a survey for the company.  The survey consisted of questions asking how I liked it, ease of use and if there were any bugs.  As a thank you for doing this I was able to keep the Roku 3 for free.  Now I have been using it for about a year and I feel very confident about giving it a proper review.

First let me list the features the Roku 3 comes with.  This Roku is for use with HD tv's ONLY.  There are other Rokus that can be used with both so if you are not using it with a HD tv or are not sure yet what kind of tv you will be using it on i would suggest getting one of the other Rokus.  You are able to access 1000's of Roku specific channels but don't be fooled by that number, most of them really suck.  A lot of the channels I think are made by a person and not by a company such as YouTube or Netflix (both of which ARE also channels on the Roku) so a lot of the channels have uninteresting content or are almost never updated with new content.  I use it mainly to stream from Netflix, Hulu and YouTube.  There is also a channel called My Media which will allow you to stream & play videos, pictures and music directly from your computer which is a amazing feature to have if you like to download movies and such.  This Roku comes with built in wireless so that you don't have to run a cord to hook it up, which makes it that much easier to set up!  It is also dual band wireless compatible.  This Roku plays both 720p & 1080p video.  The remote for this one is pretty cool, it has a motion sensor in it so you can play games like Angry Birds Space.  Yes, i said games like Angry Birds Space!  The Roku has a few neat games that you can play on it, not a ton of them yet but they are always adding new ones.  The remote has a headphone jack and comes with a set of headphones.  This feature is really cool but I don't see you needing it unless this is in your bedroom or maybe dorm room and someone is trying to sleep.  It also has a spot for a ethernet cord, a USB port for maybe a hard drive full of media that you want to watch on the tv, and also a micro SD slot.

I honestly LOVE my Roku 3 and will always own one for now on.  For about 6 months we did not have the money to pay for a TV service like Dish Network or TWC so we paid for Hulu and Netflix and those were all we used.  They were life savers and it wouldn't have been possible with out our Roku.  All you need is internet service and either wireless or a eithernet cable and you are all set.  There are other paid channels like Netflix and Hulu such as Amazon prime, Redbox and Vudu that let you rent movies and stream them to your tv.  I would recommend this to EVERYONE, we even bought one for Christmas for my husbands parents because we felt that they should have one.  I will never go without one again!  Oh, and all of you wrestling fans, the new WWE Network that is coming out will be available as a Roku channel!!! And its only going to be $9.99 a month!  We will be subscribing to the WWE Network the minute it comes out so be waiting for a in-depth review, probably right before or right after Wrestlemania!

I hope this review helped someone see the light and buy a Roku!

Enjoy!
